Actress, The Land of the Deaf

Dina Korzun, born on the 13th of April 1971, is a theatre and film actress.

Graduating from the Moscow Art Theatre (MHAT) in 1995, she immediately joined them as a performer, winning lead parts in Alexandr Ostrovsky's The Storm, Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Maurice Maeterlinck's The Miracle of St Anthony, to name but a few. 

Her critically acclaimed performance in Love in the Crimea won her the award for Best Actress at the Moscow Theatre Debut Festival in 1995.

She made her cinema debut in 1997, playing the lead in  Valery Todorovsky's The Land of the Deaf. Her performance brought many awards, including the Nika Award for Best Actress, the Golden Ram (the Moscow Cinema Critics' Award), and Best Actress at the 1998 Geneva Film Festival.

Korzun is a familiar face in international cinema, acting in films such as  the BAFTA Award winning The Last Resort and Forty Shades of Blues, winner of theSundance Jury Prize. She was also nominated for the Best Actress award  at the 2006 Independent Spirit Awards.

In 2006, she and her fellow actress, Chulpan Khamatova, set up the “Podari Zhizn Foundation”, a charity for children suffering from serious oncological, haematological and other llnesses.
