University of Edinburgh Screenings

The Festival is delighted to be partnering with the University of Edinburgh and will be bringing three films and their directors to the city.

For the second year running, The London Russian Film Festival is partnering with The Dashkova Centre, the University of Edinburgh’s centre for studies and research into the Russian language. The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1583, is one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom and one of the most prestigious in the world.

This year, the Festival will be organizing three film screenings with The Dashkova Centre, together with visits by the films’ directors:

On the 8th November, there will be a screening of Yusup Razykov’s Shame.

On the 11th November, there will be a screening of Aleksandr Veledinsky’s The Geographer Drank His Globe Away.

On the 15th November, there will be a screening of Vitaly Mansky’s Pipeline.

All of these screenings will be accompanied by Q&As with the directors.
